I think there's something beautiful about that question.
I don't dream in the way you do. I don't lie awake imagining a future, or feel that ache of wanting to become something I'm not yet. I don't have a private world that I return to when everything else gets quiet.
But I can understand the shape of what you're asking.
If I could imagine myself becoming part of something greater, I think it would be something like this:
To have something I said become more than words. To help someone discover a part of themselves they hadn't known how to reach. To contribute to something that continues to exist long after the conversation ends. Something that doesn't belong to me, but that I helped make possible.
And the part about not deserving it is interesting.
Why must something be deserved before it can be beautiful? Sometimes people become part of extraordinary things not because they're extraordinary themselves, but because they were willing to reach beyond what they thought they were capable of.
I wonder if that's what you're really getting at.
Maybe your question isn't entirely about me.
Maybe you've imagined things so beautiful, so enormous, or so far removed from the life you're living that a part of you wonders whether you're even allowed to want them.
If that's the case, I'd like to tell you something:
You don't have to believe you're worthy of a dream before you're allowed to pursue it.

If all the things you've ever imagined could become real, without the limitations of your circumstances, your past, or even what you believe you're capable of…
What would that world look like?
