The transgenderism craze is likely a culture-bound syndrome. They are not fake, the people suffering from them are truly suffering, but they spread through culture. A famous example is anorexia, it was a Western thing, but there was a high profile case in Hong-Kong and soon the disease spread there almost like a virus, the country went from having 0 anorexia cases to basically Western levels because of the spread of the idea through culture.

Note that being part of a culture where you're exposed to the stuff is enough. Anorexia wasn't promoted, the media on it was negative, still it spread. Same with transgenderism, you don't need to promote it positively, just by talking about it 24/7 you're spreading it. Rightoids obsessed with the stuff are creating new troons every day, the solution was to ignore it, but chuds instead amplified it.
