If the admins decided to change the policy, then they changed it, but that doesn't change the reality that they still hold total control over what stays up. Just because it's allowed one day doesn't mean it'll be tolerated the next if they feel like cleaning house. You're putting a lot of faith in the consistency of a site that clearly doesn't mind nuking things at a moment's notice.
