mine is that 4chan was a federal honeypot from the very beginning. i think that the reason 4chan got big in the first place was because moot's dad had connections to the US government they copied futaba because imageboard are the easiest formats to test psyops in

vore is a fed psyop

USAID was absolutely funding the operating (server) costs of 4chan. Gruella marketing (which is illegal) was allowed on 4chan and its mods made money through it. Hiro was allowed to sell general user data. They intentionally made 4chan worse to post on so the operating costs would go down. It's a bad website so it's easy to bleed off users. The website still can't sustain itself long term on its steady downward trajectory over the last 5 years and the companies that shill on 4chan are figuring out that at the very least half the existing traffic is bots, meaning they're paying to advertise to almost nobody.

what if it was a fed-run from its founding? i have heard someone on 4/pol/ say that

I wouldn't be very surprised. Early on, the place always managed to suspiciously get funding whenever it was claimed to be in the red. It's possible it was organic at the very start, and whenever it ran into trouble "donations" would quietly appear that would be undisclosed by moot, and then later on around chanology it was taken over by the government after the court cases.

it think the traffic was artifically boosted by feds when it started. why would an anime website become popular?

Anime had its first boost in popularity among the general public in the early 2000s in the US. 4chan wasn't even particularly special as a place where people could talk about anime, but it did allow the worst perverts because moot was a stupid horny teenager himself. In any case, it's not like 4chan started off with high traffic. It took years for it to reach that point after establishing itself as the edgy website.

moot's dad or his relative probably funded 4chan since they wanted to subvert the right (the feds already knew the right liked free speech sites) into being lolicons

Wouldn't surprise me.

i think the feds de-facto gave up on 'cuck to test their psyops because 'tok and 'ter became more popular hence we were able to hack it in cuckset
