Trout mask replica

 â„–18790246[Quote]

Honestly trout mask replica is so overrated I used to have a copy of it, how do I describe this album, it's a bunch of these sounds that go in different directions, and they don't really harmonize but somehow it's a cohesive bunch of songs, the mixing on it is good.

 â„–18790254[Quote]

How was trout mask replica created honestly I feel sorry for the people that had to put that together Captain beefheart was somewhat of a control freak.

 â„–18790301[Quote]

Basically captain beefheart and these guys have this abandoned mansion or something and they go in there and live, and they do these sessions they do these like jam sessions for this album trout mask replica, Captain beefheart he doesn't know how to read music, so he gets on a old piano and he just makes some sounds and he tells the guys to interpret whatever he makes, and they have to come up with the something to work around that ,subsequently they go in a studio they're recorded and the other band members don't get paid for anything, and that's why I feel sorry for what they had to go through it was like being in some place, and not being allowed to leave but you're forced to make this really strange music.

Some of the earlier albums of Captain beefheart are okay like safe is milk, that's more structured honestly most people will not like trout mask replica it, but I'm not going to say it's the greatest record of all time, not on that level but Frank Zappa actually did the mixing of that he didn't interfere with the production in terms of the sound but he did the mixing on the boards of that.

 â„–18790356[Quote]

Everyone likes Hot rats by Zappa yeah it's got some moments, but not every record he made was good some of them but not everything, I will say this his records are very well mixed he knew how to mix the sounds very good.

 â„–18790369[Quote]

That album surrealistic pillow, honestly Jerry Garcia apparently did some of the stuff on that for them he might have even done some of the production on it.

 â„–18790374[Quote]

The first solo album by Jerry Garcia that's got some weird stuff on it.

 â„–18790404[Quote]

The first two Velvet Underground records pretty good honestly all their records pretty good, white light white heat, it a noisy record like that song sister ray, I like that song honestly there's better versions of that song live where it's like over half an hour and it's got these really good lead parts to it.

 â„–18790420[Quote]

The Velvet Underground did these really good live performances.

 â„–18790429[Quote]

 â„–18790442[Quote]

Chrome another band that people don't know about some people do I like that band, it's like some proto-industrial and psychedelic sort of stuff combined together, it's got some cool guitar stuff the the drums, on it very good real trippy type of songs they will say they did a lot of stuff they did a lot of blotter.

 â„–18790476[Quote]

Terry Riley I like the way he plays the keyboard I don't know how to describe this, it's called rainbow and curved air, he's got several records, but that influenced so many people including Pete Townsend, with the album who's next that's another man like the albumn Tommy and Quadrophenia some really trippy sort of mixes.

 â„–18790493[Quote]

Patti Smith the album horses, I don't like everything she does but that album got some moments the guy from The Velvet Underground John Cale actually produced that I believe.

Its weird

 â„–18790501[Quote]

Peter Frampton with Humble Pie live at the Fillmore that's a very good live album.

 â„–18790515[Quote]

They don't make live albums like that anymore, those type of Fillmore albums, something about that building it had good acoustics and legendary performances.

 â„–18790550[Quote]

The Beach Boys a trippy band, I'm not really big on them I will say the guy Brian Wilson does have an ear for production, the guy Dennis Wilson literally released a solo album called Pacific Ocean Blues that's a good record.

 â„–18790562[Quote]

Dennis Wilson knew somebody named Charlie it's sad how that whole thing happened the guy should not ever done that, he could have been a really good musician.

 â„–18790582[Quote]

I've actually heard some of the music that Charlie made it's got rhythm, it got a structure to it he knew how to write songs, but either he was crazy or people around him messed with his head.

 â„–18790627[Quote]

I understand if someone writes a song and they steal it, and don't pay you for it ,someone might get upset but don't go to an extreme, but that happens all the time where other groups steal someone songs and they don't give them any credit.

 â„–18790645[Quote]

For example the blues something people made out in country areas it wasn't some type of big city stuff.

 â„–18790670[Quote]

I used to listen to a bunch of songs by The rolling stones, but I do not respect those people, because of what they did to Brian Jones, he was the guy that had the ear for music. but they did something dark to him, they sacrificed him

 â„–18790679[Quote]

I like James Brown

 â„–18790705[Quote]

I understand music theory I could talk about music for a long time because I actually play music, I've been doing that for many years. I've heard so many records.

 â„–18790721[Quote]

Most people today want one song instead of a whole album.

 â„–18790737[Quote]

Today there's very muddy production and much overproduction with effects, that makes the sounds bleed through each other, it's very hard to have a cohesive song with that.

 â„–18790788[Quote]

Some of these producers, do extreme amounts of overcompression, there's something called the loudness war and that's basically production that's not mixed properly, so with an album listen to the first song, hear the frequency range of that, try to keep the songs at the same frequency range that's mastering a record.

 â„–18790818[Quote]

There's also the wall of sound. it's like an orchestra being in a studio, very hard to mix that, record each person, and try to mix that.

 â„–18790833[Quote]

There's things like jazz, different modes of that, it's like each person has their own voice, and they move together with the rhythm.

 â„–18790843[Quote]

With guitar don't play too fast but don't play too slow, understand how flat or how sharp something is.

 â„–18790879[Quote]

If the person plays guitar with a plectrum, that diminishes the tone, but if the person plays without a pick, there's an understanding of articulation of different tones.

 â„–18790970[Quote]

Some experiment, I used to have a bass guitar, and the guy at the store said you need a bass amp, so I bought the base amp, but the bass amp broke, so I decided to plug the table into a regular amp, the base played alright, and I figured out you don't need a bass amplifier.
