I'm an enby/male bisexual unc
thought I was trans since like 2016 but I realized that I'm not after time so I'm detransitioning. (prob gonna get on finasteride at least to avoid the negative effects of Test)
being trans isn't for everyone and if the social pressures, reality of living trans, or your dating/marriage goals don't align with being trans you shouldn't transition.
If you see yourself dating women, don't transiton MTF. Women don't like trans people, even if they larp that they do on social media, they won't date you.
I really never liked bottom surgery or believed in it, have always been a supporter of lgbt and gay people tho. More of a drag queen enjoyer, they seem to be happy people.
I was unhappy with the effects of HRT and kinda feel I've been scammed by optimistic trans people into thinking it was magic and would drastically transform my body even after puberty. most trans surgeries aren't covered by the free insurance I have which makes transitioning seem more like a luxury for rich people than something feasable.
the irony of conservatives focusing in so hard on trans kids is like - thats the age when you would get the most benefit from HRT because it prevents puberty effects - if you take HRT after puberty you are fighting an uphill battle feminization wise. It basically did nothing for me since I started in my late 20s. And I don't think most 13 year olds should be encouraged to make life changing decisions at that age, so it's tough.
I'm not talking about FTMs cause in general they have an easier time transitioning genders for whatever reason. It's easier to be a guy i guess.
I also think there needs to be more acceptance of feminine men Too often we glorify one end of the spectrum (masculine) but we shame the feminine men so if you aren't a hyper masculine man you feel like you need to transition or something. a lot of on the spectrum, lonely men transition because they want social validation and to be considered beautiful. if we shame femininity in men less there wouldn't need to be such extremes. Yes, I am saying making fun of femboys (soyboys) leads to transgenderism because men feel there is no option for them to be non masculine.
I think I transitioned because I wanted to be sexy and unique, I felt like nobody cared who I was as a generic white man. But thats due to my depression and lack of ego. Replacing my old identity with a trans persona was a mistake on my part. I still support the idea of trans I just really don't think it's meant for everyone.
