Splitting the userbase on smaller boards would further expose just how dead the place is. There are probably only a couple dozen people spamming and blogging about their precious AI porn on /g/. Putting them on their own board would show it's mostly spam from a small group of people not worth advertising to. It would also slow /g/ down, exposing that board as a DNB. For the same reason, they can't ban AI from the other boards like /v/ because it's a small but incredibly vocal number of users who boost PPH by a considerable amount. Make an AI board, and the boards where AI is posted will massively slow down. Sure, the AI board would have users, but with so few people posting the same things day in and day out, you find out the audience isn't actually that large. Like on /vt/, it's just literal spam from a relatively small number of people. That's not an audience worth advertising to.

4chan is slowly and irreversibly killing itself because rapeape and Hiro couldn't admit that this literal who quickly figured out their idea of forced culture is a 100% fatal cancer and needed to be ripped out.

What I find most off-putting about these discussions is the sheer amount of anger people bring to them. It's like the mere existence of 4chan is enough to send some people into a fit of moral outrage, to the point where they seem less interested in discussing anything honestly and more interested in finding another excuse to express their contempt for the site and everyone associated with it. There's a difference between having legitimate criticisms and being so emotionally invested in hating something that every new development becomes an excuse to work yourself into a frenzy. You can acknowledge that 4chan has serious problems without turning every discussion about it into a collective exercise in self-righteous indignation. What makes the whole thing particularly unpleasant is how readily that anger turns into blanket judgments about entire groups of people, as though visiting a particular website automatically tells you everything you need to know about someone's character. At that point, it stops being meaningful criticism and becomes little more than tribal hostility dressed up as moral superiority. The irony is that people who seem so eager to condemn others for their supposed ugliness can end up displaying an astonishing amount of spite themselves. Something awful has it MUCH worse. they banned all 'slurs', 'bullying' 'offensive content' and 'hate speech'. The site is now a woke liberal left-wing shithole and the polar opposite of that it was in the 2000s.
