honest answer: because i like to make people laugh and try to improve their lives so THEY dont kill themselves. i think most people nowadays have a non-zero chance of killing themselves before 2040 (i could be projecting but at least among members of gen z / alpha i dont think i am), so if i can try to make people not want to do that, i think staying alive makes more sense.
