You will also know if you have failed to keep things uncontaminated if it is green, yellow or brown inside. You want fuzzy spores, not sludgy mold.

Also learn the difference between SC and LC. Spore cultures take a much longer time to germinate and begin the process of Inoculation and Colonization, whereas liquid cultures grow very fast, very effective and are almost always safe from contamination so long as you dont get nasty shit in your container. If your solution has dense enough spores that they exist in clumps/are visible without a microscope or a magnifying glass then you do not need to use very much of the sample.

Ensure to buy low salt and unflavoured rice, also ensure that the brand you use does not come with extremely high moisture, maybe buy an offbrand. Create a still-air chamber/box to ensure you do NOT contaminate ANYTHING. Sanatize everything metal with fire and Iso-propyl alcohol before and after every use (70% iso is best). Sanatize the bag with it before cutting as well. To ensure your needle is also clean you should put the sharp tip under the flame of a lighter. Do this outside of the SAB to ensure you dont blow up or burn down your house from the alcohol. Juice it with 0.5-1ml of SC/LC and then tape it with a micropore tape. do NOT tape the bag back together doe, you want to tape it in the same "opened" position, this is to act as a air exchange so that you dont suffocate the colony, it will breathe through the micropore tape and keep nasty shit out. Keep it between 22-25 degrees in its growing location at ALL times.

This is a SAB. You will clean everything in here and keep everything in here alongside doing your work in here, aside from the heating of the SC/LC needle. If you want to improve it you can tape rubber gloves into it to ensure the air inside is totally still and sterile. You can burn the holes with a metal cup or hot lid of a pot.
