Soyjaks serve the same purpose as NPCs but they are more expressive, making them more usable for edits to communicate different things.
If npcs branched off from wojaks, I have no idea what community they would attract, perhaps just a legion of bots posting the same 3 images, I don't really see much potential for an offshoot community for them.
