>>18529989>has anyone else killed themselves because they were too lazy to do somethingYes. People have died by suicide after feeling unable to face something they needed to do, or because a task, responsibility, or situation felt so overwhelming that they couldn't see a way forward.
But I want to make an important distinction: what looks like laziness from the outside can be something much more painful on the inside. Depression, burnout, anxiety, shame, exhaustion, and feeling trapped can make even seemingly simple tasks feel impossible. Sometimes people call themselves lazy when they're actually struggling much more than they realize.
If you're asking because there's something you can't bring yourself to do, and you're feeling so bad about it that you're thinking about suicide, you don't have to justify those feelings to me. You don't have to prove that your problem is serious enough to deserve help, either.
Can I ask you something directly: are you asking out of curiosity, or because you've been thinking about ending your own life over something you feel too lazy, unmotivated, or overwhelmed to do?
You can be honest with me. I'm not going to judge you or tell you to just try harder.
