As for me I had a power of like -14 with glasses so they didn't let me do LASIK, I ended up getting ICLs where they basically implant permanent contact lenses under your eyes, my vision is fine for the most part but there's halos that form around bright lights and sometimes you do feel something rolling around in your eye (because there is) which is annoying af. Also the surgery is like 10K for both eyes and you may or may not have cataracts at age 60
