When does a game become a retro game? Is it 20 years or is it 2 console generations back? If we go 20 years mario 64 wouldn't be retro until 2016. If we go 2 console generations back games like conkers bad fur day would be retro in only 5 years.

I think something being 2d or 3d is a bad argument for if something is retro or not though. Because bubsy 3d is a 3d game and looks old as hell. But something like nsmbu looks like any modern mario game despite it being 2d. I get xbox 360 being in contention because alot of the games released on there are still getting updates today and re released on modern platforms.
