Life is a test of endurance, suffering, conflicts and through the way, you experience joy and happiness. Solving problems and conflicts brings great satisfaction
God wants you to be happy and experience good, so you must experience unhappiness and suffering to even comprehend that.
From non suffering, happiness isnt derived, happiness is derived from conflict and problem solving and meaning being created from that

I believe equal in jesus means, no matter who we are, we can have faith and go to heaven.
However the material reality has masters and slaves. Because of scarce resources. The world has scarce resources that leads to conquest, weak vs strong, domination and enslavement.
So going back to my point of, god having to introduce suffering and bad so we can comprehend good.
How he introduces suffering, the main physical mechanism is scarce resources, killing,envy,rape,and most terrible things are a result of scarce resources and organisms having to compete and be vile so they can survive and reproduce.
Even theres a bible verse supporting this mechanism, that slaves be obediant to their masters

most atheists I've talked to agree that the church is what turned them away from religion. same goes with shit like bible camps and sunday schools and whatever. a lot of them were told from a young age things like "if you sin ever you go to hell" and "if you defend yourself from a murderer or rapist that's sinful", both of which turn people away from God and directly contradict scripture (the only way to salvation is through Christ, who literally died for your sins because humanity is incapable of living entirely without sin)
to show people the light, reform within the church is an absolute necessity.

a question for fellow christians: do you believe that the creation story and the fall (genesis 1-4) is literal or metaphorical? i've thought literal for a very long time, but i'm revisiting and only now starting to lean towards metaphorical. i still believe the basics like perfection before the fall, but i'm wondering about the 7 days and the sudden burst in humans after the fall.
