imagine the jannies making pedo jokes and posting porn all the time but then if you even think of doing the same it's a permaban. and appeals are never read so a permaban means you're basically fucked off the site forever. also there are random wordfilters that permaban you and multiple continents are rangebanned. that's quote.
there was a time when 'cado was bannable but the 'log was filled with fat furry fetish bait. the site was actual shit. quote never communicated at all and never took action against anything the userbase complained about. he'd come in once every 4 months and make a bizarre rule change like "no more roblox raids" or "no suicide announcements" and then vanish without explanation. the few times he DID communicate, he was talking about his vibecoded imageboard software that he never finished.
towards the end of quote, it was exposed that multiple jannies were in a booru groupchat (those are a thing now) gooning to furry porn edits of namefags and talking about spamming them on the site. then there was this NAS coal variant called "smuglet" traced from some 13 year old tranime character, and people (jannies) were spamming rape and gore porn of it.
quote era ended when quote decided he would change the rule against pedophile to remove the part banning pedo jokes, except he didn't actually unban pedo jokes as multiple giggers instantly got themselves permabanned. instead, he seemingly just removed it so he could justify allowing people to post smuglet rape porn. this made literally EVERYONE on the site, both the leakiest of soyteens and the most anti-rulecuck of soyteens, hate him and spam the 'log with anti-quote shit.
day later the site got hacked so he shut it down and sold it to salt.
