I'm gay and trans mJt that will never cancel out the
fact that I am white. I do have privilege, and it'd be
racially ignorant to say I don't as a white person. If
a white person can't acknowledge the fact POC
are still denied because of their race, and the white
person is an oppressor by that fact- they are racist
even if it's ignorance. Someone's whiteness will
always make them an oppressor because of the
vile world we live in. On that topic, (because this
has been a reoccurring argument)m POC also have
every right to not be friends with you if you are
white. It's still near impossible to try and figure out
where a white person stands. POC do not owe you
the time and effort of figuring this out. Or, the
disappointment if a white person appears to be
aware, but then drop a micro aggression or again
ignorance. Also another reason could simply be a
POC might not want to because you're their
oppressor, nothing wrong with that. It's not unfair,
it's protecting their peace. It's also not racist
(another stupid argument), because you can't be
racist towards white people. Oppressors cannot be
oppressed !!!!
