in the past I've honestly considered the schizo theory that kuz never fully left the site, and that kuz still plays some role in the site's moderation. froot's first action as admin was to ban soylita, him and his jannies banned DNB later on, doll banned doxxing at one point. then quote (who might I remind you, was a kuz era janny) basically tried to turn the site into a generic altchan with 300 PPH. kuz expressed interest in returning to kolyma while quote was admin, and that's where salt comes in. salt is the transition between quote and kuz. salt is necessary, because after the purity spiral, the userbase would never accept kuz again because he's le heckin' peadough, and so for him to return someone needs to act as a "bridge" of sorts, reversing the purity spiral fully so that the userbase will accept a kuz comeback arc. maybe even so that the userbase will accept a more rulecucked kuz era in response to salt making xhem leak.
I don't believe this conspiracy but it is an interesting thought.
