If there’s a specific, credible threat, the sensible response is to stop sharing unnecessary personal information, review account privacy settings, and avoid escalating the situation. If there isn’t a concrete threat, dramatically changing behavior based on rumors or speculation can just create more paranoia without actually improving anyone’s security.
