Scammers (full name: Samuel S. Scammers) is a white rabbit with green hands and feet, rosy cheeks and a rose-colored stomach. He is from The Dups, where he was the owner of Scams Department Store (alongside GameScams), in which things were sold for absurd prices. He has a "niece" and store assistant named Emily B. Scammers (real name being Feddles, according to her community object). As mentioned earlier, he has a digitally pitched up voice, using the Voice Changer setting on the PlayStation 3. He was voiced by Jacob Lenard.
Keeping in tradition with major Dups characters being used, Scammers appeared in "The Mugger", where he recorded the Mugger's failed attempt at "mugging" and had a single inaudible line. This was his only appearance in the series.
Despite this, he was going to appear in "Mugman Gets Scammed", earlier known as "Mugman vs. the Heat". He would've scammed Mugman several times in various different ways (such as selling glue as ice cream for a high price, or pretending to be a doctor), before being dealt with by Pementa. In the earlier version where the episode was entirely about the Summer heat, only the scene with the "ice cream" stand would've been used.
Much like his loyal customer Mr. Bob, he was also going to appear in Super 3-D Crunk Bros. wearing a yellow suit with green pants, before being cut alongside all of Jacob's other characters and assets due to creative differences. Prior to this design, he also had a different one very briefly in 2018.
He was originally created by user davidks2009 in August 2011. After having made Feedles from heavily editing a cut-out of a Servine plushie Jacob had won and placed down, he made a slightly deformed version of her and flipped it upside-down. He added a face and oddly colored arms, legs and belly, resulting in Scammers. The level series Scammers debuted in, Pirates of the Donut Eatin', was also made by David, where he was called (verbatim) "billionare bunny thing" and had the "Burp" gibberish voice instead of Jacob's voice pitched up. This technically makes Scammers one of the only characters in The Dups and Mugman to not entirely be made by Jacob Lenard or Ben Brown. He finally got his proper name after Jacob pictured him as a store owner who scams people out of their money, which also resulted in Scams Department Store being made.
His assistant was also formed from Feedles, and is named similarly to her; essentially being the same species. Scammers is basically an upside down Feedles, while Feddles, his assistant, is the right way up. The now-deleted Dups Wiki mentioned that Scammers and Forky are friends and live on the suburbs of Dupville.
David had also made another creature that looks like Scammers, but it was never used for anything.
