People were a lot less hostile intersite, and the raids were fun. People tended to actively engage with each other instead of just calling anyone who disagreed a pajeet tranny shitskin.
That’s not to say it didn’t have people calling each other niggerfaggots, but you were more likely to get a deep discussion.
There were a lot more creatives around, and tons of OC. Musicians and celebrities also showed up a lot, Andrew WK for example.
Mods were a lot more fun and would give you two minute bans to fuck with you etc. They also showed themselves off a lot more, very visible and would actively engage with the userbase, stickying threads and replying etc.
Overall I think 4chan is a lot worse now but at the same time it scratches an itch nothing else can.
The closest thing the sharty had was probably during Soot’s reign. To me, the Sharty basically went through the same lifecycle of 4chan but just 3x faster.
