Last year I went on a trip with an old friend of mine from middle school. He couldn’t carry a conversation to save his life. The most startling thing about it is that that’s likely how other people view me. I’m not as severely autistic as him but I’m still pretty autistic. He has his hyperfixations that compromise his whole personality, and I have mine. I’m just better at masking.
I might take 6 months to a year of just reading books, listening to music, trying hobbies, and just developing my personality to “catch up” to others socially. So I’ll actually have something interesting to say to somebody. That’s why I don’t talk to people, that’s why I don’t go to bars or ask people out or date or befriend people: I know I have nothing to say.
The truth is that quiet people are usually not smart. They are weak, stupid people who don’t talk for the same reasons. That’s why entertainment portrays social people as idiots, jocks, Stacys, etc: those shows were made by the stupid, alienated quiet people.

>>18113713What I am saying is that you likely do not go out in public very often, or if you do you do not talk to many people. It could be going to the gym, ordering food in person at a cash register, or something else simple like that

Also i dont go to gym because too many people + too much money i just do calisthenics

>>18113763If you are in school/university then it could be something simple like asking a teacher a question after class or asking someone sitting next to you about an assignment. Very simple stuff that isnt a whole conversation. And then maybe build up to having conversations eventually
If you work at a job with others around you thats also opportunity. If all the stuff you said is true then these are some of the most simple steps

>>18113909That could work. Talking to your instructor about stuff that is relevant to your training would probably not be too difficult
