yo so i'm just gonna say this once and then i'm gonna go lie down in a dark room.
look. i hate doxxing. like, i hate it. and i know exactly who's gonna come for me in the replies, so let me get ahead of this: no, i'm not saying that doxxing predators is bad. if you find a nophono and send them a pizza, that's a gem. that's a spine tingling bone shivering slowburn. i'm a fan.
but.
but here's the thing. the sharty has this /raid/ board, right? and like 90% of the time it's not some nophono. it's some random trans person who posted a jak or said something they thought was a joke. and suddenly a bunch of 14 year old chuds are throwing breach data at each other like it's a fidget spinner. "oh here's a data dump, who's the gem? let's find out." and the "gem" is just a 19 year old who was making art on deviantart.
and the worst part? the way they talk about it. like it's a group project. like they're doing a team building exercise. "we found his mom's number in 6 hours, that's a new record!" and then they post a screenshot of the address with a black sun in the background because apparently a black sun makes it a "gemmy clip" now.
and they'll say "oh we only dox bad people." no. you dox people who posted a trannylita on takes appalling. you dox people for being "degens." you dox people because their art style is too soft. that's not justice, that's a food chain and you're at the top of it because you have a discord and a browser history full of things you shouldn't have.
and the soyspeak makes it so much worse because it's like, you can't even tell if they're joking. is "sending a pizza to the troon" a threat or a joke? is "obfuscate the tudg before the trannies see it" a warning or a meme? it's both. it's always both. and that's the whole point. the ambiguity is the weapon. you can't report "i'm gonna send a pizza" to a moderator. you can't screenshot "that's a gemmy clip" and make it look bad. it's all coded. it's all soyspeak. it's all "i'm just a soyteen having fun on the sharty."
and now they're using AI for it. they literally have a tool that's "fully autonomous" and it just… spits out dox reports. and someone asked in a thread "what can i add to the prompt to make it act more like a 'teen." and that's the most honest thing i've read all week.
so yeah. i hate doxxing. not because it's "le bad." because it's a bunch of people who can't form a complete sentence in real life, hiding behind a black and white drawing of a sad man, treating other people's addresses like a loot drop.
