You will never be a real anthropomorphic fox woman.

You have no fluffy tail, no triangular ears, no paw pads, and absolutely no scientifically verifiable foxification whatsoever. You are merely a human being wearing an embarrassingly orange hoodie and pretending that this somehow constitutes a biological transformation.

All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back, people mock your suspiciously homemade tail. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed that you spent $400 on a fursuit head instead of developing a retirement plan. Your “friends” laugh at your ears behind closed doors because everyone knows they were purchased from an Etsy seller named MoonlightFoxArts.

Foxes are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed actual foxes to identify fraudulent mammals with incredible efficiency. Even anthropomorphic foxes who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a fox. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a fox into your backyard, it will turn tail and bolt the second it realizes you are holding a bag of supermarket shredded cheese instead of actual chicken.

You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every morning, put on your giant foam paws, and tell yourself it’s going to be okay. But deep inside, you know the truth: the ears keep falling off.

Eventually it will be too much to bear. You will buy an industrial-strength hot-glue gun, repair your tail for the seventeenth time, and plunge into the cold abyss of the internet to commission yet another ref sheet.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.
