>>18046541>>18046664Often times when someone is sexually abused or raped in some way (whether as a child or adult), it can sort of fuck up their brain and cause them to fetishize what happened. For example this is what causes some women (or men) to be really into sexual age regression and stuff. Also a high percent (I think around 40%) of pedophiles were actually the victims of pedophilia themselves.
Some pedophiles will use this to try to justify it cause they will point out that the child/victim "enjoys" the act. The problem of course though is that it doesn't just cause the fetishes and stuff alone to develop, getting molested as a kid also almost always causes strong depression and suicidal thoughts when they grow up. This can happen to adult rape victims too but it's usually less traumatic.
And then in the case of teenagers it's more just about how we define consent rather than being about trauma. If a 15 year old has sex "consensually", it's really unlikely to cause some kind of ptsd or anything like that. However, we consider them to be too stupid and underdeveloped in the brain to be able to make rational decisions that they won't regret later. It's also really common in cases of teenagers having sex with adults for there to be some kind of grooming or power imbalance involved so that contributes to the just blanket ban we have. I think in Europe their laws about this are a little less strict like they take the power dynamics into account and stuff but idk that's just what I've heard.
