froot and quote ruined all of that. they banned gore, made the site as safe edgy as possible, yet in spite of that the positive attitudes were gone, replaced with cynical shit like "go back nusoi" and "snca" and "JSID already", hating the site, its userbase, and soyjaks themselves became the center of sharty culture. self-loathing and misery is what defined this period of the site's history. the admins themselves would go to extreme lengths to make the userbase mildly upset at them. meanwhile raids stopped being for fun, they became out of pure bitterness and hatred, gone were the days of wiping random snca altchans or spamming 'jaks in random 4cuck threads, now every raid is ALWAYS a dox, and it's never against a random person, no, because the userbase would call that snca, now it either has to be vigilante justice or it has to be against a "dumb nusoi" who left their email in the email field or something. no humor to it, just anger and hostility.
while the site is unrulecucked now, the bitterness and resentfulness of froot/quote still remain, so now we've combined the old sharty's edginess with the nu-sharty's angsty faggotry and unsurprisingly it makes for a site that can feel very unpleasant to browse, even for someone who's completely desensitized to gore.
the solution wouldn't be to rulecuck the site again, the solution would be to discourage this annoying froot/quote era angst and instead encourage the userbase to make gems and embrace the creative freedom provided to them by the lessened rulecucking.
