usually psychosis turns off the bullshit-detector part of your reasoning as well along with other cognitive defects
also, a lot of the time in schizophrenia, you're hallucinating about irl-grounded subjects like "the police are out to get me because they used a secret camera to find my meth stash" or something that makes sense in an established religious context like "demons are gangstalking me" so it doesn't immediately pop out as fake
