My favourite book is Notes from Underground it's the most relatable book OAT
>I am a sick man…. I am a spiteful man. I am an unattractive man. I believe my liver is diseased. However, I know nothing at all about my disease, and do not know for certain what ails me. I don’t consult a doctor for it, and never have, though I have a respect for medicine and doctors. Besides, I am extremely superstitious, sufficiently so to respect medicine, anyway (I am well-educated enough not to be superstitious, but I am superstitious). No, I refuse to consult a doctor from spite. That you probably will not understand. Well, I understand it, though. Of course, I can’t explain who it is precisely that I am mortifying in this case by my spite: I am perfectly well aware that I cannot β€œpay out” the doctors by not consulting them; I know better than anyone that by all this I am only injuring myself and no one else. But still, if I don’t consult a doctor it is from spite. My liver is bad, wellβ€”let it get worse!

I should read more novels. I focused more on history books and classics. Indeed they represent 2/3 of the books I've read

 β„–17776220[Quote]

 β„–17776244[Quote]

Another problem is my memory: I forgot a lot of things after some time but I don't like to reread the same books because there are others I want to read

 β„–17776259[Quote]

If you like ancient classics and don't have a base, read the Iliad and the Odyssey, I also suggest the Aeneid because I liked it personally

my favorite book is patrick sΓΌskind's perfume. it's about this orphan kid in old timey france who is ultra isolated so he's deficient in normal human communication and functioning but that made him super proficient in smell which is like his autistic special interest. and he ends up killing a bunch of virgins without even realizing it bc he's too autistic to see the wrong in it. he's just like "well they smell good so i need to get their smells!". it's normal people & interactions through the eyes of a weirdo and i love it
