This part always left me confused, why do leftoids and normies think the West are the heckin evil transphobic countries when Western countries are the ones that support their rights the most? It makes zero sense for them to complain about "muh systemic oppression and bigotry" when they're in a country like Sweden, Canada or the Netherlands for example.
I know the simple answer is victim mentality and virtue signaling but maybe there's something more than that.

It's extremely common for people to view a group as universally evil if they hold any sort of negative opinion of them (the horn effect). People see western countries and think:

Similar things happen with other groups. I find incels to be a funny example. Normies think:
