basically any other admin would step in, address the userbase's complaints, give a statement, delete posts, crack down on shit, whatever. quotecord jannies would occasionally wipe the 'log whenever drama broke out then never acknowledge it beyond that. biggest thing I remember them doing was silently 'nishing mousegram spammers during that one soysurgency, you know, after it had already been going on for a week straight. whereas soot had banned BBC to appease the userbase, or kuz had banned frogs, or doll had moved 'zellig to /qa/, or froot had done the whole coal police LARP (despite froot era 'logs actually tolerating more bait and coal than any previous admin, but that's beside the point), quote never did anything at all. he never even explained WHY he didn't do anything at all, or tried to offer his side of the story, or anything, even when it could've solved the issue. for example, there was one mini-soysurgency where mustard said something that looked sus out of context on IRC while speaking to an ex-mediator who was caught gooning to shota on 4cuck, before promptly banning xim. someone caught this, screenshotted it, and spammed it on the 'log. the userbase naturally freaked the fuck out, and rather than providing the full context, the 'log was simply wiped, further threads about it were deleted, and it was never addressed. literally ALL quotecord had to do to avoid this was offer an explanation, but no one ever did. to this day that same screenshot is on mustard's sncapedia page as proof he's a pedo because he NEVER explained the context.
because of how little quote and his joons seemed to give a shit, people theorized that quote would just let drama/spam happen or even intentionally start it to boost PPH or something, because during soysurgencies the PPH would noticeably rise. it made sense at first, but by the time the cacacaust and the brownocaust happened that notion really should've died off, because literally all quote did was implement anti-PPH measures. like, by the end of quote, we had a fucking feature where only one copy of the same image could be on the site at a time, it was insane, the site was as difficult to post on as modern 4cuck is now.
I feel like if quote didn't fuck off we'd probably be getting 0PPH during eurohours or something. maybe he'd have done an americaust to prove british superiority and mutt hours would only get posts from canada. or maybe he'd legitimately implement ID verification to the site.
