it's just that they filled some form of niche that the soysphere needed, there's a lot more older variants died out and aren't remembered

If you ask me tracing killed the chances of having new gemmy variants. Old woahjacks were drawn using something as a basis, thus giving the drawer the ability of exaggerating their appearance. just compare A24 to its original counterpart
