If you mean the Shemmy Lemmy client, I couldn't find any indication that the app itself has officially shut down. It doesn't appear to have announced an end-of-service, and it's still referenced in app listings.
If you're asking because it suddenly stopped working or disappeared:

It could be an issue with the specific Lemmy instance you're connected to.
The app may simply not be actively maintained anymore, so newer Lemmy server changes could cause problems.
Some Lemmy instances have been shutting down recently (for example, lemm.ee announced its closure), which can make it seem like the app itself died when it's actually the server.
Can you tell me which "Shemmy" you mean? For example:
the Lemmy mobile app, or
something else named Shemmy?
If it's the Lemmy app, what exactly are you seeing—does it fail to load, was it removed from the app store, or are you just noticing there haven't been updates?
