taking a different approacherino to chess/go

since it is ALL basically pattern recognition (i.e. READ: ALL MEMORIZATION), i'll start from le lowest ai difficulty and work my le way upperino sort of like calibratingerino

instead of play a zillion ONLINE chess/go matches since with my lack of MEMORIZATION (le pattern recognition) for chess/go since I haven't spent a zillion hours in both yet, ONLINE chess/go matches are too le stressfulino to actually benefit me at this point

 β„–16688927[Quote]

ugh yawn my hair is thickly knotted ugh

how annoying

 β„–16688937[Quote]

>>16688924 (OP)
There are a few general patterns to recognize, i.e
>knights on side of board le bad
>trapped rooks le bad
>exposed king le bad
>moves that allow opponent to activate pieces le bad
<moves that protect king le good

 β„–16688938[Quote]

I think I might le want to le avoid my heckin baduk stones from being captured

idk

worthless snca information

if I could implant zillion years of chess-pro knowledge from textbooks into my hand to jump to 2000 ELO already I would have but LE NO I can't fucking do that so instead I have grind one zillion fucking AI matches (on lichess btw) to finally get a fucking good ELO without trying to learn from le annoying matchmaking

you can mog all players by cheating with a maia 2200 chess model, without getting undetected
No need to go through all that

 β„–16688979[Quote]

>>16688954
this sounds painfully slow and tedious. I suggest puzzles if you want to learn how to take advantage of/save a position. Also, I would take advantage of chess engines themselves. Many of them provide explanations on why a move is good, bad, okay, etc.

 β„–16688984[Quote]

>>16688958
i don't want to cheat though, unironic jeet-tard.

I want to actually exercise my mind's ability to store and recall information (i.e. the functions of le memorization, remembering, and le pattern recognition)

 β„–16688988[Quote]

>>16688979
puzzles are boring retard slop that ONLY wastes time.

I would learn a lot faster grinding zillions of lichess AI matches than doing scna puzzles for fucking retards

 β„–16688994[Quote]

>>16688984
in this case, no other choice rather than practicing thoroughly

 β„–16689005[Quote]

>>16688988
you can play with bots on lichess

 β„–16689009[Quote]

ugh yawn I had a coffeeino recently

>>16689005
yes you can, and lichess's ai is better, chess.com's ai's are all GARGABE

chess.com is useless for everything except matchmaking.

use nnue evaluation in your brain

 β„–16689013[Quote]

>>16688988
Puzzles will give you situations where there is a crucial pattern/solution. If you play a new game every single time, you have to go through the entire set up in the opening (where most players just straight up memorize a set of moves)

 β„–16689015[Quote]

Us Indians are good chess players btw

 β„–16689056[Quote]

>>16689013
where would I get nonbullshit puzzles?

Why are the only puzzles I've seen where I'm supposed to only solve it one move?

 β„–16689069[Quote]

>>16689056
lichess has infinite free puzzles. And there are multiple moves involved a lot of the time. I dont know what elo the puzzles you do are, but even if it is just a single move it is still something important to learn

 β„–16689079[Quote]

oopsie poopsie doopsie

lichess's stockfish level 1-8 is too le difficult at level 1

although I think I have beaten level 2 one time when I spent a couple days pondering, but I now know that spending all that le time pondering won't do anything

so instead I'm gonna try this maia chess for a more easier ladder to climb.

 β„–16689121[Quote]

woah cool

i don't have to do le maia gameplayerino

i can just do a zillion flipping puzzleinos!!!!

 β„–16689130[Quote]

Do you actually like chess or do you just like the idea of being good at chess

 β„–16689132[Quote]

what the fuck are you talking about

 β„–16689139[Quote]

>>16689130
what difference does it make?

Who plays shit games just to lose all the time? No one otherwise they wouldn't have implemented SBMM inside every battle royale slopcuckold game so zillions don't uninstall from ALWAYS losing

 β„–16689216[Quote]

these lichess puzzles don't make sense? Am I guessing where stockfish ai wants me to go?

 β„–16689243[Quote]

>>16689216
the AI makes calculations of the most optimal moves based on its memory, or something. These moves are the most optimal

 β„–16689247[Quote]

>>16689139
it does make a difference btw. They are lots of ways to be smart

 β„–16689255[Quote]

>>16689139
You should aim to be good at something you enjoy

 β„–16689264[Quote]

>>16689255
that's stupid

i'll only feel joy in chess after defeating opponents easily or something

 β„–16689271[Quote]

>>16689264
I would not learn to play chess if I didnt like/if I only learned it to seem more intelligent than others

 β„–16689272[Quote]

>>16689264
Get back to me when you beat Magnus

 β„–16689273[Quote]

>>16689272
stockfish easily beats magnus though

 β„–16689282[Quote]

>>16689273
Get back to me when you beat stockfish

 β„–16689285[Quote]

>>16689282
don't have to

I can just do a zillion lichess puzzleinos in it's "healthy mix" playlisterino

 β„–16689330[Quote]

I might just consider sticking with chess

 β„–16689331[Quote]

>>16689285
How does that help if you can do all those and still get beaten in an actual chess game

 β„–16689375[Quote]

>>16689331
erm… I'm pattern recognizing, chud

I'll just remember super hard mid match with my gazillion hours of experience.

 β„–16689380[Quote]

>>16689375
Alright well get back to me when you beat stockfish then

 β„–16689383[Quote]

>>16689331
I said puzzles were good because they can teach you a lot about critical positions, which can win/lose games immediately. Of course, if you wanted to get better at chess, it would be optimal to incorporate a mixture of everything + reviewing

 β„–16689384[Quote]

Its interesting. Watching you slowly go from a normal user to a bait/demoralized account over time.
