For some reason popular culture is downstream from both the hood and imageboards, two places which are essentially the outskirts of society.
For example things like rap, twerking, ghetto slang, etc come from the hood and are now part of everyday life for normal white Americans. I've even seen white girls refer to themselves as snowbunnies which was originally a fairly obscure term not that long ago.
The same can be said of imageboards. Nearly all the most famous and popular memes come from 4chan despite the relatively small userbase. The terms gooning, looksmaxxing, chud, incel, etc have also become popular with many normalfags using these words in actual conversations. Even the sharty has had noticable influence on the internet despite an even smaller number of users.
Another thing very popular on imageboards is the concept of the “queen of spades fetish”, with the tattoos and clothes and shit. Right now only boomer cuck's wives and only fans whores engage with this stuff, but it makes one wonder if in the near future we will begin to see normalfag girls playing into the queen of spades aesthetic. Perhaps even getting tattoos.
