HTSM is the perfect example of how online discourse rots the second people stop admitting they don’t actually understand what they’re defending.

Nobody talks about HTSM—they perform opinions about it. Half the time, people aren’t even reacting to the same thing, they’re just recycling confidence like that counts as insight.

And the worst part is how fast it turns into ego warfare.

People don’t ask “what is HTSM?” anymore. They decide what it must mean, lock into that version, and start arguing like they’re defending reality itself. It’s not discussion—it’s territorial behavior over an idea that was never solid in the first place.

That’s why it spreads so easily. Not because it’s meaningful, but because it’s vague enough to turn into whatever someone needs it to be in order to feel correct.

HTSM isn’t a concept anymore.

It’s just a mirror people scream at until they think they’ve won something.

And the louder someone insists they “get it,” the more obvious it becomes they’re just filling in blanks with confidence.
