Day 7:Because it is established that users will award bait, the 'log is split between half-bait and half-gem. Bait is still getting replied to fulfilling it's purpose.
Day 14:The 'log is a shithole full of bait.
Best case scenario demand falls for bait as it becomes a dime a dozen. The site returns to homeostasis, and more gems are being posted.
Even better some form of quality control is enforced (on /soy/) but not
too excessively to not make it a rulecucked shithole much like the Swedish Jarty and 4chan where making high-effort stuff isn't really rewarding.
