4. use a fairly thick brush size. if you dont, it probably wont look as IAS as the originals (i.e. soyak, a24, etc). not too thick though.
5. as with all art forms, perfectionism is a farse. dont hesitate to let it look a bit sloppy. (i.e. lines intersecting awkwardly or being shaky). that's what gives it character. don't see 'jaks like feral and think "hmm I have to be a good artist to make a good soyjak." you don't.

Some real tips:
1. Turn off antialiasing
2. Try to take brush size/thickness for each part of the 'jak from known gemmy soyjaks.
3. Don't make a useless nuvariant that isn't contributing to the soycommunity and actually think would your nuvariant actually be useful as a nuvariant and not just a edit of an existing 'jak. This nuvariant could just be a Front Facing Soyak edit for example. Unless the very task of your nuvariant is to redraw an existing variant (e.g gapejak2 on the booru), don't do that. Try to make it unique.
