I have a theory.
The Jannies allow such coals and NAS to be posted frequently, not to kill the site or anything like that, but for another purpose.
If you are shown good things forever, you will become numb to those good things, and then they'll become nothing to you, and even better things will just be seen as good things to you.
If you are shown bad coals forever, you will see the true value of gems, and when you see a soiquote you will cherish it and love it. If the whole 'log is soiquotes all of the time endlessly, you will not cherish it as much as you could be. /jak/ is dead.
So if we see coal all of the time, even a little low effort soiquote is like an oasis. Do you understand?

btw what ive noticed is that it moves your thread to /q/ INSTANTLY. does this mean that the jannies get a glimpse of your post before you even post it
