>Found about Swans because of a playlist of a friend of mine and in this playlist he had The Sound, when i listened to this song i was like "Dude i need to listen this album" until i saw it was almost 2 and a half hours long which for me was a LOT back then and totally out of my comfort zone.. then i saw the live performance of this and i was like fuck i gotta listen to this, this is the "sound" i was searching for.
>I was absolutely in shock on how good Helpless Child was, so in that time i was going through a dark era that i dont wanna enter in detail but i was going through a rlly rough time in my life and because of Helpless Child, and mainly this song because i didn't liked SFTB that much when i first listened it (now its my fav album oat)
>I used to find comfort on this song and like seriously would play this in loop for hours without getting tired.. i can't explain how much this song expanded my music taste and made me appreciate music than i used to before and made me get like obsessed over music since back then didn't knew a heck ab music like imagine i didn't even knew the existence of GYBE, and not to be cursi but not only music even life itself i now overappreciate everything a lot more than i used to. Helpless Child found a secret emotion i had inside me that i wasn't aware of, although you can kinda say Helpless Child is a "sad song" since its about a mother abandoning his child i kinda interpret it my own way with my situation back then and after i first listened to this song my life is getting better and better and peaking and the best part is whenever i listen to this song either if im in a bad or good mood makes me remember that things got better and never gave up.. its like this song comprehends me i can't explain and best thing is I DONT GET TIRED OF THIS SONG i've been listening it daily since i first listened it and still amazes me.
