if you're on a desktop get electrum for bitcoin and use the official gui for monero
sync it with a remote node if you don't want to sync the entire blockchain (which is really big)
there's MyMonero but that involves sending your view key to a server so it updates automatically, but its your choice and depends on your threat model
know it'll take awhile for transactions to go through since it has to get verified
uhh don't input the addresses wrong because there's not gonna be any way to get it back if you do idk what else to tell you
