To me when I visualize things in my head, it helps if I touch, taste, and see things at the same time to get the fine details down, I can rotate, translate, scale, etc objects in my head without doing this but they are almost just combined outlines, wireframes, and point clouds. It feels more like matrix math more than anything. Adding texture to objects while they move feels mostly superficial because I end up just fixing the texture to points on the mesh and rendering them when the image is static. Its very hard for me to do them in motion but possible if I am falling asleep or meditating. This state feels a lot like astral projection which funnily I can do pretty easily so long as I don't alter the scene too much to what I'm used to. I really don't practice too often because it makes me feel really on edge and dissociative if I do it too often. Like I start seeing around corners and behind my head.
