im no religion expert but i believe according to Jewish customs and eye witness most children had to marry due to the clan relationships and tradition when they reached puberty (around 12-15), its very likely that this was the case for mary too, the act of getting married after you reached puberty was common in Arabia too but the thing is here is that for for the time this was normalized, for example today marrying a 18 year old is legal but if it were to be illegal in a 100 years people who married 18 year olds would be seen as pedos so i personally don't think relationships shouldn't be taken as a consensus to decide someone's opinion upon a religion

It is unlikely that Mary herself was below an adult age by a "modern standard" because her cousin was too old to bear children meaning that even if it was a much older cousin ~20 years older, marry would still be around 25 to 35 years old and thats in an extreme case

we can also see in biblical accounts that Mary had consented to the pregnancy which a child could not do. We know from Jesus Christ that God would not coerce a child into doing something immoral,
