First, literally nobody thinks about that when talking about trans stuff.
Second, based on my research, all those cases are because in those societies, there were shamans that claimed to be both genders or it was exclusive to certain tribe leaders, and in all those cases they didn't transition by choice but for social pressure. For the average person in those native societies it was still either male or female. I can't find a single culture where "man" and "woman" aren't a concept, so this idea of "gender is le oppressive social construct invented by the evil Chirstian colonialism" is bullshit
