We'd sneak our fidget spinners in, acting all innocent while the instructor droned on about pressure points and escapes.

I'd pull off the triple helicopter spin mid-demo, flicking it so it whirred right as someone practiced a groin kick. You'd do that behind-the-back infinity trick, distracting the whole room while we were supposed to be yelling "NO MEANS NO!" We'd laugh our asses off, spinning them on our fingers during chokehold drills, turning trauma training into the ultimate fidget fest. Those were the dumbest, most hilarious times. Whatever happened to those spinners anyway? We gotta catch up soon.

Hey buddy, it's me, Charles again. Yeah, you're right, those damn fidget spinners only blew up for like two years tops before everyone forgot 'em. But that's the thing. Who the fuck forgets the golden era? We were legends in that rape class, turning a sketchy Tuesday night self-defense seminar into spinner central.

While the instructor demonstrated wrist locks, I'd be doing the infinite thumb roll, buzzing it loud enough to drown out the screams. You'd nail that one-handed suicide trick right as they yelled about stranger danger. Short-lived trend or not, those nights were immortal. We made trauma training fun, bro. Bet half the class still remembers the guy who dropped his spinner mid-bear hug escape. Fuck the haters, those two years were peak stupidity. We gotta dig ours up and relive it sometime.
