Personally I always hug my pillow when I'm about to fall asleep and imagine I'm cuddling a cute girl, I've been doing it since I was a caca. It helps me sleep better

I had a dream once where I lived in some village in the woods, some kind of war was happening and the invading army was approaching the town, most people evacuated but I had nowhere else to go and couldn't be bothered. Late in the day I was wandering the woods and found a girl sitting alone near a stump, I talked to her for a bit and we went around the now empty town. At around sundown she invited me into her house, and inside there were piles of random stuff strewn around, and she explained to me that she had been living with her parents but they went missing earlier during the war. I sat down with her and we spent the last night together before the enemy army came to torch everything- it's all kind of hazy now. I wish I could have the dream again to try to remember more but it hasn't resurfaced.

Sometimes I have dreams in which I get attacked by animals such as dogs, wolves or foxes and then fight back and brutally slaughter and eviscerate them. I'm not sadistic and have never experienced anything like this IRL btw if that matters

This goes on for like 9 years for me. I became, and i dont remember why, morbidly curious about murderers; their backstories, their methods of killing and avoiding suspition, their motivations also. I even bought a book where the "careers" and biographies of various serial killers were described. I remember being 13 and watching a video about a serial killer that youtube recommended to me and the first thought i had, literally instinctual, was "too bad i'll likely never know how it feels to kill someone". One third of my dreams is me brutally killing people, another third is me getting brutally killed, i wake up on the verge of a frenzy every day. Homicidal fantasies are one of the main sources of entertainment for me
