Mental effects of using the Sharty too much? I'm here all the time for hours and because of my constant exposure to "bigoted" content I feel as though it is shaping my thoughts in the wrong direction.

You get disconnected from the real world a lot. I've caught myself accidentally using soyspeak irl and not really knowing what people are into it. I have no clue what normies like or dislike and this contributes to my general separation from most people

Yeah, I feel the same exact way. We're both out of touch.

once I read a label as "BBC sauce" instead of "BBQ sauce"

This site destroyed my life

most notable thing you'd notice is the lack of empathy you're starting to have or how most things start to get unfunny.

Tsmt. Yesterday one of my coworkers started laughing at me when I was actually trying to be serious when talking about like dating apps or something but I accidentally used the word 'mog' and he thought it was the funniest thing ever. It made me really self-conscious about how much time I spend on sites like this one compared to how much I talk to people irl

mog isn't soyspeak doe

 ā„–98188[Quote]

>>98185
Exactly, I thought it would be pretty mainstream nowadays because of braniggers but if even that is just a joke to most people then soyspeak is probably even less popular

I've had similar stuff to this happen to me. I remember when people at my school first started using chud I assumed it was because they had finally discovered the true meaning, I was disappointed when I found out that the word got corrupted into being a generic term for a loser. I've asked multiple people if they know the origin of chud and they either told me that they thought it had no origin, or that they didn't know because they had a life. I once explained the concept of a glowie to some people and they told me that was "one of the dumbest things they've ever heard".

It's sad because it's true. Any with a normal presence in the real world isn't going to know about any of this shit. All of them had a ton more friends then me and are probably happier than me. If I actually had irl friends I wouldn't be here, I imagine that's the case for most people here.

holy shit please stop trying to explain memes/internet to people, it's very likely ankward for everyone, don't forget internet is not real life

 ā„–98211[Quote]

>>98208
well I don't, these two were just exceptions. I was mostly doing them to test how normie the people were

 ā„–98227[Quote]

>>98193
explaining that shit to randoms irl is the most autistic thing you couldve done wow get diagnosed

not that bad as it could be then

 ā„–98248[Quote]

Yeah, they thought of me as weird but I already come off as weird to most people and they didn't really care. I think that incident made me realize how incredibly niche stuff like the 'arty really was. The soysphere at most has like 2-3k people. Even if we round that up to 10k and assume they're all in America and aged 16-30 that's still only 0.023% of the population. Using the sharty legitimately puts you in one of the rarest demographics on earth. I have likely never met someone who knows about the sharty irl and probably never will

 ā„–98253[Quote]

>>98025
we've all disassociated from society. They will never understand us.

 ā„–98261[Quote]

>>98248
normies have some kind of in-built "sperg detector". they will think of you as weird no matter how strong you mask it

 ā„–98286[Quote]

>>98261
pretty much. I legitimately feel like I'm not human interacting with them
