Where is the increase in quality? As far as I can tell, the same kind of posts get made with less frequency. I guess I can't complain that the board has been forgotten about enough to avoid cattyrape but there has only been a slow bleeding of users from the time I used to frequent to now after I was unbanned. I can't have a conversation without waiting an hour or two between posts, plus there are only one or two threads active at a time

I don't want to sound annoying, but I actually LIKE the slower pace of this board. The overall quality of posts is much higher than every other board, you find MUCH MUCH more serious conversation between people than you would on /soy/.
Imagine, /r9k/ had a constant PPH of 200-400, but the posts all have less effort, are less deep, less meaningful, less interesting. Would you want your board to be alive, if it meant that it would turn into a shell of itself?

I prefer a slower pace but it would be good to have at least a regular PPH of like 10-20. Right now the highest PPH board is /soy/ with 564 and /pol/ with 153 and it would definitely make the board worse to have /pol/ quantities of posts, but having some reppies within the same hour of posting something or having something new to see every ~10 minutes would be good

Other boards aren't DNBs because people refuse to post in them, it's that the good posters there don't exist. We can't have someone posting a good thread on /a/ every half hour, because there isn't anyone to post that. /soy/ gets all the PPH because it's posting style is unique. I hope Salt genuinely considers reversing the cacacaust, it wouldn't hurt to have some more people on the site in general. I think the cause for how few people there are might be to do with a general slump in sharty culture. Since the 'cuck hack there hasn't been any major happening, and /raid/ keeps jumping from one pedonigger literal who to another without getting anything major done. A few high profile strikes could get some good attention on the site.

I don't know why we are at a severe lack of good posters. For /r9k/ it kinda makes sense. Since it tends to be about life experiences, there isn't something everyone can talk about all the time. The only common recurring topics are "I'm a faggot" and Never Goon, which are retarded. Both problems are pretty simple to stop, get off porn by blocking it on your router and you will 'oon less and if you stop mindraping yourself you won't become a faggot.

/a/ is probably just bad because most people who obsess over anime tend to be underdeveloped mentally. I've enjoyed some anime but most of them make me get very bored a couple episodes in since they tend to all follow the same tropes and offer nothing interesting. This isn't because I'm a retard with no attention span, I've read plenty of good books with no issue.

I'm not esoteric enough to post on soy/x/, I don't understand half of the serious occult posts there. /tech/ is a good board though. It is occasionally alive and has meaningful conversations. It even has shitflinging for those who care. It's for everyone's usecase.
I think this site's /a/ has a fundamental problem. The users on there are mostly 4chan otakus. Now obviously there are some soyteens there but not that many. I also dislike the fact that your thread can get deleted for any reason. If you post a soyjak with nothing added, your post will get deleted.

If you do this on any other board, your post won't get deleted. It seems to me that the jannitor on /a/ isn't really friendly to /soy/im. He wants to maintain a "high-quality on-topic board", but by doing this he essentialy creates a hugbox board different from the site's culture.
