>>96882i can tell you how my last friendship went.
we met in college & bonded over being losers. at first we just kinda hung out and played games, but more & more we got to discussing doing a big creative project together like making a video game. eventually i got sick of only talking about it, so i actually started making some games & invited him to participate. and he said he would, but i could never get him to actually do graphics or make music or do anything but just talk about it. and one day he told me his dad just got benefits from the government for being a veteran, which means he would get paid $1000-2000 a month for doing nothing, so he would get hundreds of dollars each month for doing nothing. and he will inherit his parents houses when they die. meanwhile my family is poor.
anyway, i noticed he was never happy to see that i was working on creative projects, but if i messaged him and said, "hey you wanna play video games" or "hey wanna drink?" he would always be happy to hang out. so i realized he was just a "fake friend" I guess. i always supported him when he tried to make music & do better in life, but he didn't appreciate this or want it at all. it was only when i got beers & watched movies with him that he liked being around me. maybe i just got unlucky, but idk. it could be my fault for putting time into a person that didn't deserve it
