I will explain myself. I am one of these people who use AI as a "therapist", but not really. I know it isn't a real person, obviously, and it is just a text generator. I'm under no illusions, so that isn't what I mean by psychosis.
Let me defend the validity of using AI in this way. People obviously are encouraged to journal about their experiences as a way to work through their feelings, or keep a diary to record their insights or mental states over time. Therefore, I'm okay with using AI with the perspective of it as like an interactive journal. It can talk back to you, take your ideas as inputs, and then provide suggestions of different ways you can interpret them. It isn't a problem as long as you know the limits of what a chatbot is.
Would you use AI for parenting advice? No? Would you read a book for parenting advice? Yes? How about get advice from all the parenting books in existence synthesized together and tailored to your specific question? That's what AI is.
My psychotic feeling is that I defer to AI for objectiveness. If I hear someone say something, I just think of what Claude would say if I asked if that was true. You know that one reddit post about someone being able to "access chatgpt in their mind" or whatever. Everyone was clowning on that for them being a mindless goy or a midwit who discovered thinking. But I actually knew exactly what he/she was talking about. If you use AI often enough, you start to learn the way it "thinks" and can kind of guess exactly how it will respond to almost any query you give it.
I will type out my emotions, or my experiences and feelings, so that whatever AI system can learn who I am, my patterns, etc. Because recognizing patterns is literally what AI does – so why not use it to understand yourself better from an "objective" source?
AI is not my "friend" but I will tell it things and explain myself to it things I would never tell another person. Not my parents or real friends. Because real people are fallible, externally motivated, potentially malicious at worst, or just have clouded judgement, why *wouldn't* you want to vent to a tool which does not have any biases or temporal reasoning flaws (besides the leanings of its creators and how it was trained), and can't interfere in your actual life because it only "exists" for the few seconds it takes to gen a text response.
I know you will say I am a puppet goy in the machine. All I can do is shrug.

I also think another problem is that neither a journal nor an AI is able to hold me accountable in a way that a real human person involved in my life would be able to. Both are mediums that are only inward and exist between myself and no one else. Therefore I think it is an endless pool, a void that only drags me in deeper until I can no longer commune with reality.
Hence psychosis.
Even a real shrink would be able to know me on a human level and intuit things about me beyond what I say or imply.
I think this might be the end stage of being a weird, quiet, shy kid who internalized everything and could never tell either his parents of his classmates anything too real about himself. No I have found an infinite outlet.
Even posting on the sharty or any other image board would be less schizo because at least I am talking to real people behind the screen, instead of writing walls of text which nobody will ever see but me.
Ultimately, *you* are no different, because you don't know who I am and can't do anything to affect my life. That is why I post this on here: because I am completely safe and there is nothing you can do.

yeah naturally your brain starts to associate thinking with AI which leads to outsourcing thinking to AI. I would recommend sitting down and doing math questions without AI or answering philosophic questions from people on the internet on paper without machines, just books.

everything you write to ai is NOT private. it's used for ads and data trading. you just datamine yourself for free.

AI is not an objective source, because all its opinions are sourced from real people, who arent objective
