2021 oldfag here, happened to me aswell, ive rotted on this site on and off for almost 5 years at this point, i came from /bant/ on le ‘cuck

the last time i browsed /soy/ properly was probably like, 2025, the board is quite shit now. obviously soy is a heckin shitposting board but there were some threads and raids that were actually interesting, 711chan for example or jackbox gems.

i havent been on the site much in 2026, im older snd i have alot more responsibilities now compared to when i did during 2021-2024. aswell as most of the other oldfags/gemmy posters. eurohours have gone to shit. whilst VERY active compared to what it used to be (i used to have to wait 30mins for a (you) on /soy/) the quality of posters have declined. alot.

I think late 2023 was when I took a break, waited until the site would stop domain\host-hopping, and then got back. It's much more lethargic and less creative than it was a few years back.

You’re 100% right in the fact the sites alot more slower and creates alot less OC than it used to, the beginning of the end when it came to the sharty OC wise was Brimstone Winter 2024. Literally no one took part in it, and apart from SNCAjaks people forced on /soy/ for a couple of weeks after that. Nothing has come out of Brimstone Winter, or the sharty. In terms of OC of course.
