I am 23 and I have no friends. Not even online friends. It’s been this way since I left high school. Yet, I don’t feel bad about it at all. I have my family and that’s really all I’ll need. Honestly, I think all this nonsense about “humans being social creatures” is just a bunch of baloney. Most people in this modern era have low moral standards and lack consciousness anyways.

If it didn't bother you, you wouldn't be here posting about it.

do you at least have a job? if not youre going to wake up as a 24yo jobless loser which is pretty much the wall.

Also, there's things you can't do alone.

You do stuff for other people so they become indebted to you and then it's vice versa, that's how you build meaningful connections.

Last but not least: a world that's purely introspective is meaningless.

The time the Soviet Union had to officially declare that Vladimir Lenin was NOT
a mushroom 🍄🚫

Year: May 1991. The Soviet Union is in its final months, and state television
airs a late-night interview program called Fifth Wheel.

A musician named Sergey Kuryokhin sits down with a completely straight face and
delivers a "groundbreaking historical revelation" backed by fake scientific
diagrams and pseudoscientific jargon.

His claim? Vladimir Lenin consumed so many wild hallucinogenic mushrooms that
his nervous system was entirely replaced by fungal mycelium, transforming him
into a literal mushroom.

He argued with total conviction that:

1. The 1917 Bolshevik Revolution was actually controlled by fungal networks.
2. Lenin was no longer human—he was a conscious toadstool.
3. The shape of an armored car resembles the cap of a Psilocybe mushroom,
proving Lenin was subliminally communicating his fungal identity to the
masses.

The Reaction: Because Soviet citizens were used to believing everything
broadcast on state television, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS REAL.

Panic set in. People were calling local party offices in tears asking if the
founder of the Soviet Union was an edible fungus.

It got so bad that a delegation of Bolshevik party veterans marched into the
Leningrad Regional Committee demanding answers.

The head of the Ideological Department of the Regional Party Committee had to
issue a 100% real, official public statement:

"Lenin could not have been a mushroom because a mammal cannot be a fungus."

Imagine having an empire so bureaucratically cooked that government officials
have to clarify on national television that the father of the nation was not a
portobello.

Absolute peak surrealism. 10/10 no notes. 🍄👑📉

When did jobs suddenly become apart of the discussion? And on the matter of if I have one or not, I decline to comment.

i don't have any friends either and haven't for maybe around 7 years and now I'm in college. it doesn't really bother me but i would probably be happier with friends. i just have terrible social anxiety and don't really like anyone I've met.

I agree. Most people are very boring and even those that aren't usually end up being more trouble than they're worth
>>94420
People on this board (and more broadly, this site) speak about how they don't have friends and wish that they did quite frequently. Since it's an often discussed issue it's not unheard of that someone would hold the contrary opinion to the majority of the site and it doesn't necessarily indicate the OP is bothered by their lack of friends.

I'm 22 and my highschool friends treated me like shit to I've probably been a bit screwed from that because now I avoid groups of people my own age because I think they'll do the same. Although I am getting better at talking to my co-workers lately.

Absolutely. That's why we have a society in the first place.
>>94431
Same here tbh. Everybody dresses, looks, and acts the same.

>>94419 (OP) (OP) (OP)
No one said you had to have friends, OP. But my question is how will you grow and learn as a person if you don't get out and talk to people? What will happen when your family's gone? I hate and detest having to socialize, yet I feel bad when I don't. In more ways than one, you seem to be a man after my own heart.

I think it's good that you recognize moral decadence when you see it, but you can't change things for the better if you don't try to talk with people.

Again, you don't have to make friends with people, but it would make for a good learning experience if you did.

A loyal friend is perhaps the greatest treasure a man could ask for, especially if it's a sisa

Hi, this is OP here. Obviously, I would like to have a friend, but so many bad past experiences have lead me to believe that it’s not worth it. It’s too much of an annoyance to bare when I’m the only doing the talking and the other just gives next to nothing back. My luck must be shit because all people I’ve ever tried to befriend have been “avoidant” people (just an excuse to get away with being a shitty person). So interpersonal relationships are just not for me, probably. If I could have an actual friend, I would like that a lot. But finding someone who’s exactly like me and wouldn’t leave at the first minor inconvenience is basically impossible and not even something worth entertaining.

i had the exact same mindset, i thought i could be a loner forever until total isolation made me psychotic and i ended up in the psych ward. made one good friend in there and slowly built a social circle from scratch. you need bros in life. i was an outcast loser, still am in a lot of ways. im incompatible with most normies. i know how exhausting jestermaxxing is. but you just have to trust the process. i always forced myself to get out there even though i hated every second of it. developing a nicotine addiction and getting on (((ssris))) helped me get through it. now at least i'm not totally socially inept anymore. got couple of good bros now and being able to vent all my unhinged shit to them is an actual game-changer. having bros makes life bearable. i genuinely thought i was too much of a loser to ever connect with anyone, but it's actually possible. everyone can make friends.

I'm the same age and it's a similar story. Lost touch with my friends after high school, cut off my online ones, now it's just me and my parents. I don't mind. Sure, I wish I had friends and a partner but this loneliness has been a choice. It's better to be alone than surrounded by bad people. When you have less people in your life, you're less tethered.

America is becoming so divided and everything feels like a scam. This dude in a bookstore started talking to me only to slide in this MLM invitation halfway through the conversation. I already knew something was up, people don't talk to you unless if it's their job or they have something to sell you. I'm tired of avoiding scammers, deceit, and terrible people. I just want an apartment, a job, and some peace.

Humans are social creatures, but American culture warps people's minds and makes them immoral, selfish, and desperate. I don't know if it's le capitalism, probably is. It's gonna fall apart in 10-20 years. By the time everything's collapsed and the world begins to recover, I'll be too old to enjoy it. So yeah, life fucking sucks. But a lot of people suck too.

I have only 1 friend and very often I think, "Ahh he doesn't give a fuck about me, he only hangs out when he's bored, when he has no one else to hang with and no money." If I want to play video games & waste my life, then he's glad to do that with me. But when it comes to making art and becoming better as people, stuff I think truly matters, he doesn't give a fuck and stops replying.

2 years ago, I tried to kick him out of my life for this. But what I discovered is it doesn't matter. Kick him, don't kick him, it doesn't matter. So I just decided to focus on my passions & self-improvement alone. I think friendship is mostly bullshit. If you found a friend who really encourages you & helps you to become a better person, that's like finding a diamond. Most friendships are just shallow, superficial, meaningless. But if you don't have them, you might go crazy, so you have to put up with the bs and shallowness too I think
